I turned in the initial adoption paperwork today at 2:30. The next step is the background check, which should take a few weeks. Then, the home study. After that, parenting classes and then we will start attending "matching parties" which is where we will meet some kids who are needing homes.
If all goes well, we should have a new child or two within a year. I have already begun praying for these kids, that they will be protected and loved while we wait for them. (They are most-likely already in state care.)
