We haven't heard anything from the agency that is helping with our adoption. This step is the background check. They are checking for child abuse/neglect from the past five years. We have lived in three states during that time, so it will take a while. Once that comes back all clear, the agency will schedule our homestudy. I have been trying to complete the last bit of unpacking that we have neglected for several months so that there's less to do before the homestudy. We haven't been waiting long, but I am anxious to proceed so it seems like a long time. Patience.
Meanwhile, there's some more waiting going on. I am wondering if we're going to have one of "those" adoption stories. Miracles do happen...we'll see.
