Bunk Beds

We decided to buy bunk beds. We looked around town, but found nothing of quality. Then, a friend suggested we check out craigslist. I looked and found two sets, both including mattresses. The set I liked most was more expensive, but I inquired about both. I received information back about the more expensive set. We agreed on the price and a pick-up date, and Eric and I felt like this was really a great deal. I did, however, ask the Lord to confirm that these were the right beds for us. The next day I received an email from the lady about the less expensive set...they had already been sold. Confirmed!

Update...our home assessment got rescheduled from Wednesday to Thursday. As I write this, the man is supposed to arrive in 45 minutes. It's a strange feeling thinking that someone is coming to decide if we're worthy to raise someone else's neglected children. I mean, surely we're better than what they have now, right?

God has reminded me that, just like when he adopted us, he doesn't just give us "better than what we had." He gives us the very best. This home study and all of this investigation into our lives is part of providing the very best for our little ones. I am thankful that "the system" is so thorough, because it reminds me of the great riches I have received from the Lord.
